Yamaha DT 175. Picked this one up as a fill in job and got it "sight unseen"! Anyone with a weak heart may have had some issues, but here we look beyond the crap and rust and picture what it could be like.
As this was always going to be a "ground-up" build, every nut and bolt has been replaced, new spokes and tyres, rims and hubs detailed, new fork tubes/seals, new rear shockies, new head stem bearings and lots of new wiring. Motor had only done some 3800kms, but the piston showed signs of being a bit hot and had scored the bore. All internals look A1 but we still replaced all bearings and seals. A re-bore and new piston was done with new bearings and seals and who would not want to do some porting. Click Here
A complete new paint job with a lot of polishing and finishing. More videos available at YouTube - Motorcycle Resto Magic
1999 Postie Bike..........
These have been done to death as we all know, but how many would do a Tribute Bike? Yes, this is our version of a Jorge Lorenzo Repsol Honda Tribute Bike! Pictures here show the slow process of the build from dismantling to getting a base paint down and marking out lines for colour scheme. We finished it off with a "one off" custom seat from Beyond Trim, c/- Andrew De Bono. Quite a job. Video here of build so far.
